A love so fierce it is still burning
One earring fell on the steps of Kashi. The world stopped for it.
Manikarnika is not a place on a map to us. It is a moment. An earring slipped from the ear of Maa Parvati onto the steps, and the one being who could have ended the world in a breath knelt down to look for it.
Not because it was precious
Gold is only gold. What made that earring worth kneeling for was whose it was, and what it meant to her.
Small things carry big weight
An earring is a small object. What it holds, who gave it and the day you first wore it, is not small at all.
A flame that never went out
The story did not end on those steps. Neither did the fire. We make pieces meant to stay in someone's story for years.
How a pair is made
Drawn by hand
Every shape starts on paper, not on a screen. If it does not look right at actual size, it does not move forward.
Cast in small batches
Twenty to fifty pairs at a time. Small enough that a flaw is caught at the bench, never shipped.
Set and finished
Stones set by hand, edges filed, backs smoothed so nothing catches on your hair.
Weighed and stamped
The weight is noted on the card. Light enough to forget you are wearing it, solid enough to keep.
